THE ICONIC HARDWARE DESIGN BRAND GOES NORTH
BUSTER + PUNCH started out in an East London garage and after years of growing into the home fashion label we’ve all come to know and love, the brand has opened its first showroom in Stockholm. Specialising in minimal yet stylish designs with rare and solid materials, BUSTER + PUNCH’s style has been very well received in the northern parts of Europe, and particularly in Stockholm, so it only made sense to open a store there.
Sweden has long been receptive to Massimo Buster Minale’s brand, as Stockholm represents BUSTER + PUNCH’s second largest community of followers outside of London. The arrival of its concept store on the Nordic scene will cause wonderful disruption as it continues to champion young British design abroad.
The Stockholm store is located in the heart of Ostermalm, an affluent retail area of Sweden’s capital which houses the city’s best interior and fashion brand stores – hence it will be constantly nestled between designers, architects, fashion designers and artists. It was designed by Massimo Buster Minale, and built entirely by BUSTER + PUNCH, with lovingly handmade fittings from their London workshop and ready to give Scandinavia a glimpse of what the London interior trends look like today and tomorrow.
The store features a living room complete with the entire BUSTER + PUNCH collection, including HOOKED lighting, light switches and accessories; an office that holds the bespoke LED HEAVY METAL CHANDELIER; a kitchen complete with their signature PULL BARS, FURNITURE HANDLES and solid metal HOOKS; a dressing room, a library and a garage to complete the entire showroom concept for the brand.
The store will also display the latest in UK street art and design, which can be purchased exclusively in store. The garage will, of course, hold BUSTER + PUNCH’s wicked motorcycle specimens, including the ‘über-bad’ BONESHAKERS.
‘Our new Stockholm store has been designed to feel like a home, a BUSTER + PUNCH home,’ said Massimo Buster Minale. ‘A chance for us to show how our customers can use our products in every corner of their home and inject a little extra inspiration along the way. This is definitely the future of interior retail, and it’s happening today’.
