Coshamie’s Design Pick: COPPER DUST

Eclectic, Luxurious, Artistic and Unforgettable A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of attending a joint launch between BUSTER + PUNCH, Martyn White Designs and Copper Dust at the BUSTER + PUNCH showroom in East London. Many wonderful new designs caught our eyes, and we’ve decided to dedicate a #designpick article to the promising Copper Dust brand in particular, as we were completely mesmerised by their gorgeous collection of eclectic and stylish lighting. A recipient of The Prince’s Trust, Copper Dust is helmed by the talented and emerging designer Vanessa Agyemang, and is a luxury British home décor brand that specialises in bespoke and handmade lampshades, as well as limited edition illustrations. Coshamie’s Design Pick: Pierre Gonalons’ Pavillons Library

A little haven of sophistication and contemplation. First exhibited in 2012, the Pavillons Library was designed as a space that invites readers to contemplate, relax and engage in conversations under the pergola. It features a central alcove outlined by a banquette, which is a reminder of Napoleon III’s French era. It is made to measure and it’s covered in a moire fabric whose random reflections act as an echo to the cracked gold leaf shelf. The shelves were expertly crafted from lacquered wood and cracked palladium shelves, while the structure also holds brass with bronze patina and a stunning plexiglass hemispheric mirror. [caption id="attachment_2049" align="aligncenter" width="699"] Achille Salvagni, Pietra table (Photo Credit: ArtNet)[/caption] Spread throughout several rooms, visitors can feast their eyes on superb elements of interior design bursting with style and originality, including the central multifaceted coffee table Pietra, a magnified version of Salvagni’s classic Emerald table, here rendered in stained lace wood, as well as a set of Angel sconces – classic examples of the designer’s popular onyx wall lights,...

Coshamie’s Design Pick: La Petit Noire & Blanche

Chad Jensen collaborates with Ysabel LeMay for some stunning Versailles interior magic This stunning set of tables is part of an Artist Collaboration Series with Ysabel LeMay, and it’s based more on period inspiration rather than the literal Versailles reference, going back to the dazzling times of the Baroque and Rococo styles – both which have left a strong imprint on interior design to this day. The classical references in LeMay’s work are constant, infused with the organic modernism of a contemporary artist, and yet expressed entirely through digital photography. [caption id="attachment_2037" align="aligncenter" width="427"] La Petit Noire, 2014[/caption] Each piece is presented in limited edition, engraved with its unique number, date and the designer’s signature, and it’s manufactured by Thomas Riley.
