Cristiana Giopato and Christopher Coombes Unveil Handmade Lighting Collection Author: Coshamie Former Patricia Urquiola alumni Cristiana Giopato and Christopher Coombes (of George Snowden and Sebatian Bergne’s team) joined forces and opened their own studio back in 2006. Among their latest designs is the bold yet dainty Flauti collection. Made with handblown Murano glass and turned brass, the lighting products are actually a series of modules, in 7 shapes and colours that can be assemble in a thousand ways, offering endless opportunities for creative mixes. DIMORESTUDIO infuses art deco influences into hotel saint-marc in paris

Located in the heart of paris and steps away from the opéra comique, DIMORESTUDIO have completed the elegantinterior architecture of  ‘hotel saint-marc’. the five-storey building – dating back to 1791 – was occupied by a range of programs. from being once the home of a Duke of Choiseul to the headquarters of the historical newspaper ‘le national’. prior to the hotel it hosted the italian restaurant le poccardi and eventually taken over by an office building. PETER MIKIC USHERS IN LONDON’S NEW MAXIMALISM

The dashing interior designer ditches English restraint in favor of super-luxe materials and flamboyant bespoke furnishings. The dining room of interior designer Peter Mikic’s Pembridge Gardens townhouse is a testament to his talent for curating a space with exuberance and flair. Art by fellow Londoners Damien Hirstand Grayson Perry sits alongside an antique Venetian mirror that Mikic rescued from a chicken shed in Venice — he was rummaging in an antiques shop there when the owner said he might have something of interest “out the back.” The oak and bronze Pembridge dining table, bird’s-eye-maple Art Deco–inspired sideboards, crystal and brass drop-pendant chandelier and chain-pattern rug are all from his own collection, which in turn draws on the talents of a variety of European artisans. Italian luxury brand Golden Goose has opened its first store in the U.K., located on Dover Street in London’s Mayfair. Spanning two floors, the 950-sq.-ft. space stocks the brand’s women’s and children’s collections, as well as the men’s wear range, Haus by Golden Goose.
