COSHAMIE’S ADVANCED SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING CRASH COURSE FOR ART GALLERIES

EXPANDING OUR WORKSHOPS TO SUPPORT ART BRANDS IN DIGITAL MARKETING:

We are pleased to announce that our next Advanced Social Media Marketing Crash Course will take place on 31st May, and will be focused on Art Galleries and Art Brands.

Back in April we launched the first Advanced Social Media Marketing Crash Course for Interior Design Brands, as we saw a growing need from designers to better understand the ins and outs of a constantly developing new discipline: social media marketing, the surprisingly effective segment of digital marketing that deals with your brand’s online presence on platforms like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn and so on.

At first, social media marketing was quite superficial, interacting mostly with early adopters. Today, however, there are over 2.2 billion people who use social media on a daily basis. For design brands, that presented enormous potential – to generate website traffic, to increase sales and to increase national or global awareness amongst consumers.

Even though the design and art fields cater to a relatively niche audience and rather specific customer personas, having a solid, coherent and intelligent social media presence has become essential to every digital marketing strategy. It’s quite simple, really: if you’re not online, you don’t exist; if people can’t find you on social, you don’t exist; we’re all living online now, after all.

The beauty of social media is that, despite it seeming fickle and trivial at times, it presents any brand with an incredible untapped potential of clients and fans. Approximately 30-40% of overall website traffic often comes from social channels, and that is a valuable number of people to have discovering one’s brand.

While our first crash course for interior design brands was a great success, we’ve decided to open our doors for art galleries and art brands as well. With more and more buyers online, art galleries are now faced with two challenges: getting people through their doors and selling the works of their artists. Social media is a valuable tool in the digital marketing strategy that aims to achieve both of these objectives.

Most importantly, growing one’s art business via social media marketing is not as easy as one might think. It involves a solid and comprehensive strategy based on extensive research, a data-driven approach, constant testing and improving each segment and a considerable amount of art world knowledge and creativity.
