Back in April we launched the first Advanced Social Media Marketing Crash Course for Interior Design Brands, as we saw a growing need from designers to better understand the ins and outs of a constantly developing new discipline: social media marketing, the surprisingly effective segment of digital marketing that deals with your brand’s online presence on platforms like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn and so on.
At first, social media marketing was quite superficial, interacting mostly with early adopters. Today, however, there are over 2.2 billion people who use social media on a daily basis. For design brands, that presented enormous potential – to generate website traffic, to increase sales and to increase national or global awareness amongst consumers.
Even though the design and art fields cater to a relatively niche audience and rather specific customer personas, having a solid, coherent and intelligent social media presence has become essential to every digital marketing strategy. It’s quite simple, really: if you’re not online, you don’t exist; if people can’t find you on social, you don’t exist; we’re all living online now, after all.
