A ROYAL TRIBUTE UNVEILED AT MAISON BACCARAT IN RUSSIA:
This lighting piece is a mesmerizing reinterpretation of Baccarat’s exemplary ‘Zenith’ chandelier, which was first launched at Salone del Mobile in Milan earlier this year.
Marcel softened the edges and re-designed the contours of the ‘Zenith’ chandelier to form twisting branches, tassels and octagons into a circle of light.
Marcel states that “by softening angles, adorning the crystal shades with cut motifs and inclining them to form the curves of the chandelier, we were able to create a shining symbol of modernity.”
This incredible lighting piece was accompanied by a small table, inspired by the ‘New Antique’ vase, which was created by the Dutch designer back in 2014. Marcel transformed the vase by turning it upside down and adorning it with a white marble top.
When lit-up, the tables appear suspended in mid-air creating an enchanting aura that transforms the room in which they are in.Additionally, these vases come in clear, red, dark or blue crystal spreading their light into the infinite space.
“These vases reveal all the dedication of baccarat craftsmen to their art. The process of collaborating with the manufactory to create these vases in different colours was as challenging as it was rewarding,” states Gabriele Chiave, Creative Director.
